EFEKTIFITAS TEA TREE OIL TERHADAP KEJADIAN JERAWAT VULGARIS PADA IBU HAMIL

Acne is a skin problem that is often underestimated because it is considered a common condition among adolescents; however, in fact, its prevalence remains high even into adulthood (Dawson & Dellavalle, 2013). The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Tea Tree Oil on the incidence of acne vulgaris among pregnant women at Pagerageung Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya Regency, in 2024.
This research employed a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study consisted of 30 pregnant women who experienced acne vulgaris at Pagerageung Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya Regency, in 2024.
The results of the statistical analysis using the Mann–Whitney test showed a p-value of 0.025, which is less than α = 0.05. Therefore, H0 was rejected, indicating that Tea Tree Oil has an effective influence on the incidence of acne vulgaris among pregnant women at Pagerageung Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya Regency, in 2024.
It is expected that respondents will maintain facial skin hygiene in order to avoid acne vulgaris.
