PENGARUH PEMBERIAN AROMATERAPI LAVENDER PADA IBU NIFAS TERHADAP NYERI JAHITAN PERINEUM

Abstract

The results of the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) reported that in Indonesia, 48.9% of pregnant women experience anemia. As many as 84.6% of anemia cases among pregnant women occur in the age group of 15–24 years.

This study aimed to determine the effect of lavender aromatherapy on perineal pain in postpartum mothers at Parungponteng Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya Regency, in 2023.

This research was conducted at Parungponteng Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya Regency. The researcher used a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The population in this study consisted of postpartum mothers on days 1–7 at Parungponteng Public Health Center in October, with a total of 15 respondents.

The results showed that the p-value was 0.011 < α (0.05), indicating that lavender aromatherapy has an effect on reducing perineal suture pain at Parungponteng Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya Regency, in 2023. It is expected that health workers will incorporate
