Based on the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia remains relatively low at 37.3%. According to the Indonesia Health Profile (2020), the coverage of complete postpartum visits (KF) in Indonesia in 2020 was 88.3%.
This study aimed to determine the effect of soy milk on breast milk production among postpartum mothers at Jatiwaras Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya Regency, in 2023.
This research was conducted at Jatiwaras Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya Regency. The researcher used a Two Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The population in this study consisted of postpartum mothers on days 1–7 at Jatiwaras Public Health Center in October, with a total of 20 respondents.
The results showed that the p-value was 0.028 < α (0.05), indicating that soy milk has an effect on breast milk production among postpartum mothers at Jatiwaras Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya Regency, in 2023. It is expected that health workers will incorporate complementary therapies into midwifery services, one of which is the use of soy milk.
